My last day in Milwaukee before traveling to France was spent at the Milwaukee Bio domes, the three domes once a major Milwaukee attraction and now with relatively minimal foot traffic had a special feature today. The Corpse Flower. A rare and bizarre jungle plant known to bloom only once every 14 years, this plant emits a rotten smell, comparable to that of rotting flesh in order to attract pollinating insects.
It was pretty neat. And I was able to capture a lot of beautiful photographs for the class of the various flora and occasional fauna in the domes, and inspired a good deal of imaginative force when hearing the title of 'Corpse Flower'
